Coastal Rowing Adventure along east Coast of NZ, from Stewart Island to Bluff, then Bluff to Cape Reinga, raising funds for four Charities
Invercargill, Southland
Welcome and thank you for supporting our Coastal Rowing fundraiser. The first part of the adventure from South Cape Stewart Island to Bluff starts on 2 December 2023, and then the second part from Bluff to Cape Reinga on 10 February 2024, averaging 40km per day, finishing at Cape Reinga in July 2024. Rowers throughout New Zealand are coming together to participate in this event, rowing in an area and distance of their choice, and being supported by two fishing boats for the whole journey. The Lions Clubs NZ are arranging meet and greets at beach landings, food and accommodation where possible, and fundraising activities in selected areas along the way.
Funds will be paid to Lions Clubs New Zealand and will be evenly distributed between Lions Clubs Cancer Trust (Skin Cancer Screening vehicle), Child Cancer, Starship, Surf Life Saving.
Thanks once again for supporting our Coastal Rowing Adventure and the four Charities.
All funds will be evenly split between Lions Clubs Cancer Trust (Skin Cancer Screening vehicle), Child Cancer (to provide support for families), Starship (to provide support for families) and Surf Life Saving (to provide support for beach and coastal safety).
