Roy Toms Memorial Young Eagles Donations

$5,650 donated
Given by 28 generous donors in 11 weeks

Roy Toms' wish was rather than flowers, for donations to go to supporting youth flying via Flying NZ's Young Eagles program.

Nationwide

Roy Toms was a passionate aviator whose career spanned 50 years.

Roy’s flying began in Te Anau with bush planes before eventually becoming a Senior Captain for Emirates for 18 years based in Dubai. Roy finished his career as a Boeing 777 instructor for Air New Zealand.

It was always Roy’s wish to give back to young aspiring pilots. Your donation to Young Eagles will contribute greatly to this cause helping fulfill his wish.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
