About us
Rotary, which was founded in 1905, is an organisation of some 1.2 million service minded men and women belonging to more than 33,000 Rotary clubs in virtually every nation in the world.
Rotarians carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programmes that touch people’s lives in their local and world communities. Amongst the initiatives planned and funded by Rotary has been the elimination of polio worldwide.
The Rotary Club of Wellington North, which was chartered in 1965, supports many organisations in the local community and in developing countries. It also facilitates international youth exchanges and scholarships.
