Running the Tarawera 102km Ultra in memory of my dad and to raise funds for Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services.
Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty
Hello, my name is Sang, and I recently lost my dad after his 10-year battle with cancer. Throughout that decade, Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services in Rotorua were there for my family in ways I’ll never be able to fully express. They supported us with guidance, counselling, emotional care, help understanding treatments, and were always there for both my dad and our family when we needed it most.
To honour my dad and to give back to the organisation that stood by us, I’ve decided to take on something far beyond anything I’ve ever done before: the Tarawera 102km Ultra Marathon.
This challenge is huge for me physically, mentally, emotionally. But if pushing myself can help Aroha Mai continue supporting families going through the hardest moments of their lives, then every step is worth it.
All funds raised will go directly to Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services so they can keep offering guidance, counselling, emotional support, treatment information, practical help with paperwork, and a safe place for families facing cancer.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this page, it would mean the world.
Thank you so much for your support.
Love you Dad.
Aroha Mai supported my family throughout my dad’s 10-year battle with cancer, and I’m fundraising to give back in his memory.
Funds will go directly to Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services to provide guidance, counselling, emotional support, help with treatments, paperwork, and support for patients and their families.
