Contribute to Teresia's legacy by supporting future generations of Pacific students.
Wellington
Dr. Teresia Teaiwa, a friend, mum, mentor, colleague, scholar, poet, feminist and activist who stood against injustice and inequality. A leading light of the Pacific, Teresia founded Va'aomanu Pasifika Pacific Studies Dept at Victoria University which was the first in the world to offer a Bachelor's degree in Pacific Studies.
Teresia passed away in March 2017 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Teresia's dying wish was to create a scholarship to provide Pasifika students with the opportunity to study Pacific Studies at Victoria University and to create pathways for Pacific students to contribute to their communities.
Teresia was a regular participant in the Cigna Round the Bays fun run/walk. This year we will be joining to honour her memory and to continue her legacy. Teresia touched many lives and is dearly missed.
Please render your support by donating to this Givealittle initiative.
Your contribution will help keep Teresia's dream alive.

We are supporting Teresia's wish to create a scholarship to provide Pacific students with the opportunity to study Pacific Studies at Victoria University. Her hope was to create an undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship each year.
Friends and family of Teresia are running the Cigna Wellington Round the Bays on the 18th February to raise funds and awareness of Teresia's wish.
All funds will be passed onto Teresia Teaiwa Scholarship Fund administered by the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation.
We did it! 16 January 2018
