Running to raise money for resources that will help Cole live his life to his full potential.
Darfield, Canterbury
Cole has a very rare genetic disorder called Witteveen-Kolk syndrome. Cole is the only person in New Zealand with this syndrome and there are only 50-60 known cases worldwide of WITKOS. The journey Cole has been on so far in his short life has not been an easy one. He has been tube fed since he was three days old, has very low muscle tone (hypotonia), is non-verbal and has struggled with respiratory issues, to name just some of the things he has had to navigate.
Cole and his family are my neighbour's. I would like to raise money for Cole and his family to put towards his ongoing needs so he can live his best life.
To fundraise I will be running 100km in 21 days starting Saturday 5th April, 2025. I will post my run updates on facebook.
Please the previous Givealittle page for Cole here https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-cole-learn-to-walk-talk-and-feed
My family live two doors down from Cole's family. We are neighbour's.
Anna is his mother
Money will be put towards any care Cole requires that is not funded and resources that will help Cole live his life to his full potential.
Cole is off to Brisbane 25 May 2025
In less than two weeks Cole and his family will be heading to Brisbane! Cole is booked into NAPA (Neurological and Physical Abilitation) for a three week intensive physical therapy programme. This will not only include physical therapy but feeding and communication therapies as well. Thank you to everyone who donated to this fundraiser. The funds will contribute to Cole's ongoing therapy and care. We wish Cole and his family lot's of love and success for their trip. Go Cole!
Thank you so much Timblick family for your donation
