Prof Bosco Tjan was a leading international scientist who studied human vision. He was killed by a student at the University of Southern California in Dec 2016. I knew him for 20 years and was greatly influenced by him. He had an infectious love of science and was very generous with his time to his colleagues and students. I am running the 100km Tarawera Ultramarathon on Feb 11 2017 to raise funds for his family, Carissa and Daniel. Specifically, the funds will support Daniel's future education, and will be paid directly to Carissa. Bosco's family have approved this fundraising activity.
Please note that donations are in $NZ. $NZ1 is approximately US 70c. So feel rich and donate more dollars!
I'm raising funds for Bosco's family because he was a good friend and valuable colleague and he has left a huge void in the international Vision Science community.
