Raising funds for men's mental health at University - making a change through improving mental fitness
Christchurch, Canterbury
Starting on Tuesday the 6th of October, UC students and members of the Christchurch community will take to the pavement to run for 72 hours straight. This absurd endeavour is in an effort to bring attention to the absurd fact that 72% of all suicides in NZ are male.
We will be bringing the University of Canterbury community together to share thoughts, support and some healthy exercise, all while fundraising for a great cause. Taking place along our 3km route through the University Campus there will be someone running 24/7 for 72 hours.
The funds raised will go towards Lads Without Labels who are a registered not-for-profit charity operating outside of the University of Canterbury. A group of like-minded students looking to do our part to help improve mental health and the attitude towards it throughout UC
Lads Without Labels is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to improving men’s mental health in and around the University of Canterbury. Men's mental health is a profound issue our community faces, and today, Lads Without Labels sets the motion for change
Towards men's mental health support at the University of Canterbury, and wider men's mental health initiatives with Movemeber.
