    Hi everyone.

Just to let you know that Quinn is being interviewed on Breakfast TV (TV1) this Wednesday 15 Feb, 2017.

The Breakfast TV team think his mission is a great one and so they will be having a chat with him live on air (he's a little bit nervous!)

Likely to screen between 8.15am and 9am, so if you're by a tele, tune in or watch it later on demand :-)

  • What a year!

2016 has been an amazing year!

I had lots of fun with a bunch of events through the year:

    January:

*The Colgate North Island Athletics Championships. I picked up silver for discus and shot put which felt awesome!

*I ran the Waiheke Wharf 2 Wharf event for the first time - that was really pretty but soooo hot!

    February

*I turned 10 so that was pretty cool :-)

*I ran the Coastal Challenge for the 1st time - really cool as we ran around beaches so lots of different sorts of terrain

    March

*I went on my 1st cubs camp - cool fun!

*I visited Motutapu for the 1st time and ran the Dual event over there. Awesome being on a small island doing a race and I met a TV star :-)

*I took to the water again with the Fulton School triathlon. I did a great race but my swim wasn't good enough to pick up a medal so that showed me I needed to do some more work on my swimming

    April

*A massive hill challenge with the Sand to Mud fun run

*More hills with the Mauku fun run :-)

    *Rugby started-yeah!

    Winter

*I continued with the neat Xterra Trail Running series through winter, running through mud, sand, paddocks and gravel and challenging myself to beat the hills and weather. I was blown away to win the 2016 Xterra Series Under 13 male category for the mid distance and they gave me a really nice trophy.

*At school I reached a goal by making it to the speech finals and was awarded 2nd place. That was really neat.

*In my school cross country I placed and made it through to Group Day for the 1st time and placed 5th there.

    September

*I went on a massive flight all the way to Hawaii and ran the Kauai Half Marathon - # 3 in my mission. The people were so nice, the history was really interesting and starting the race in the dark before dawn in 30 degree heat was amazing!

*I made my 1st lots of money by doing some film work. That was really neat and something I'd never done before.

*The Pukekohe Raceway Duathlon was super cool and I picked up a placing there

    November

*Mum and I did the Lactic Turkey P6 adventure race. 6 hours of running, biking and orienteering - it was awesome!

    December

*At school prize giving I was very lucky to receive the top student award for all of year 6, excellence certificates and the citizenship trophy for the whole senior school.

And now Christmas is nearly here :-)

I have got the Colgate Athletics Championship coming up soon so am training hard for that, as well as building up my running as we start getting near my Antarctica run.

I hope you have had a great year too and if your body isn't working as well as you would like it to, or you have been sick, think of me and I will do some running for you! :-)
