Ryuki was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. He will be on wheelchair. Help us to modify our house.
Canterbury
Ryuki, our fourth son, was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta more likely type 3 or 4 (also known as brittle bone disease).
He is now 22 months old and has had 7 fractures so far (including one before birth). He is extremely fragile and needs to be surrounded by soft surface to prevent fractures. He just started to roll over and is trying to crawl.
He had osteotomy in August to straighten his femurs and insert pins to make bones stronger. However, doctors can not guarantee Ryuki will be strong enough to stand up and walk. We are getting ready for his wheelchair so he can mobilise and explore by himself.
Now we need to modify our house for Ryuki to use wheelchair, crawl and hopefully (fingers crossed!) walk in the house safely in the future. To do this, we need your help!

Thank you very much for supporting Ryuki. Your help will reduce the risk of Ryuki's fractures in the future.
Updating Ryuki's life 11 December 2015
Ryuki is now 2 and half years old
He's got his own powered wheelchair.
He had another osteotomy in June for his tibias and will be wearing splints on 24/7 for few years.
Since Ryuki had osteotomy for his femurs and tibias, he has been doing really well. He is crawling and holding furnitures to stand up.
It is amazing to see what Ryuki can do now.
