Sagata Ana Aoga Amata Rebuild Project

Sagata Ana Aoga Amata is an early childcare facility. We are currently fundraising to renew our building to MoE requirements.

Wellington

Sagata Ana Aoga Amata is a Samoan language preschool, located in the suburb of Newtown, Wellington, New Zealand.

Since it's operations started in January 1998, the Aoga has helped many Pacific Island children get a head start in their education and have seen them go on to be confident and well educated adults, who in turn are now sending their children to our Aoga Amata.

As the years have passed, Ministry of Education regulations have changed and therefore we are now in a situation where we need to adapt our building to accommodate for these changes.

We therefore are seeking help from all our Pacific Island family and friends around the world to donate towards our project of rebuilding our Aoga so that our children have access to better facilities and equipment to help further their learning.

About us

Sagata Ana Aoga Amata, is a early childcare centre nestled in the heart of Wellington. Here at Sagata Ana Aoga Amata, we speak Samoan primarily giving the Samoan children of our childcare a connection to their culture from a very young age. We also cater for non-samoan families.

We provide childcare for children of as young as 6months to as old as 5 years old. We have been operating in the Wellington area for 25 years and are known and trusted amongst the community as a quality childcare facility.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
