Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has been recovering from the strong impact that the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano did in April. The volcano had its first major eruption on April 9, followed by 32 other eruptions. Around 30,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes and 19,000 can no longer return due to the damages and high risk of rebuilding; most of them are farmers, since the land closest to the volcano is used mainly for agricultural production. Today the situation is still delicate, especially since we are approaching the hurricane season which could further complicate the scenario.
Care packages will be given to shelters to distribute, the care packages consist of food, baby items, sanitary products, clothing and face masks. Financial support will also be given to students for uniforms and school fees. Let us work together to make SVG better again.
Target Goal 26 August 2021
During evaluation the cost of everything will be at least 30,000. We have a long way to go, however dedicated to achieve this goal.
