Lets give Sam and his whānau some breathing space - show them the Universe can deliver !!!
Otaki, Wellington
Sam was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) in May 2020, one year later in May 2021 we all celebrated the best news ever that after a gruelling treatment regime - Sam was in remission.
Then Christmas 2021 relapse - the AML was back !
Sam has treatment options which include a cocktail of chemotherapy drugs - one of the drugs Azacitidine is not funded and comes at a cost of $4,000 per month.
To lessen the financial load, Sam and Tracey have put their home on the market.
Our collective contributions will make a great difference ! Sam is not fighting this cancer alone !
The Trust's focus is to provide for the educational development of youth within the ART confederation area.
Hopefully - at least 6 months worth of the chemotherapy drug - Azacitidine
Sam’s Wellness Journey is working !!!!! 9 April 2022
Great update posted by Tracey on the Sam the Man page advising that Sam’a body has responded to the new drug regime and remission has been achieved again !!!
At least another 7 months of this magic medication is required so let’s reinvigorate our give-a little so we can meet or even surpass our target - please share among your contacts on any social platform you consider appropriate- Nga mihi nui.
