Support for Regan, Sarah and Samantha Taylor

  • Sammy's progress November 2016

      3 November 2016

Hello to all Sammy's supporters, family and friends.

It is with great delight to advise Sammy has completed her 6 months of intense chemotherapy and treatment. She underwent a 6 hour operation to remove the remaining tumour on her Liver. The operation was successful and Sammy has now reached the great milestone of being in remission! Sammy celebrated her 3rd birthday on 29 October with many friends, family and guests attending. Her hair has started to grow back (beautiful blonde) and she is full of beans and ready to start getting back to normality. She will be returning to her much loved Preschool family at Natures Nest next week. Sammy is the most courageous, brave wee sole.

Her brother Alexander is doing great, he is such a happy, joyful wee man who loves his big sister so much. Sarah and Regan are attempting to return to normality. It is hard when 6 months consumed them with hospitals, intense worry and pain, their life thrown into turmoil. I cannot say how proud I am of them both. They have shown courage, along with protecting, supporting and loving their babies with such intense unconditional affection. I ask you continue to support Sarah and Regan as they build their lives back to normality. Sammy will continue to receive blood tests, scans for several years and as her hearing has been affected a little she will have regular hearing tests to correct the loss.

As I write this final update I have tears rolling down my cheeks. Their is not a day goes by when we don't think about the hardship the family went through. Our thoughts are always with others who are in or entering into the tough world of Cancer and will forever support 'The Child Cancer Foundation' and 'Cancer Society' and 'Starship Hospital Foundation'. THANK YOU WITH ALL OUR HEARTS. It is so hard to know how to express to you all that your prayers, support, donations, love from all around the world MADE A DIFFERENCE.

Love to you all Sarah, Regan Alex, Sammy and Family. You will always be forever in our hearts and when we look in our wee Sammies beautiful eyes you will all shine through. xx

  • Update to Sammy Taylor supporters 9 July 2016

      9 July 2016

Hi Again to all our wonderful Sammy supporters!

Sammy is such an amazing courageous wee poppit, we are all so very proud of her. Our wee girl has been through many chemotherapy treatments, MRI scans, transfusions, blood tests, and of course many, many hours of hospital stays with her wonderful loving Mummy and Daddy. Her treatment is shrinking the tumour as hoped, but her operation to remove the right side of the liver is now on hold until August. She will go through more chemotherapy next week to shrink the tumour some more to ensure the operation is successful. Her world has been uplifted by the birth of her handsome brother! Master Taylor (name to come) was born on 7 July @ 3.45pm and weighed in at a healthy 8lb12oz! He has white blonde hair and so cute. Sarah was just amazing and both Mum and Bubs are doing really well and are now at home. Photos to come soon on Sarah Taylors facebook page.

The givealittle page for Sammy has closed and again we thank you all so very much. This family couldn't have gone through all they have and more to come without you all. We are blessed to live in a very close community and have the best family and friends ever. Love to you all xx

  • Sammy's progress 18 June

      18 June 2016

Dear all the wonderful Sammy, Regan and Sarah Taylor supporters. Sammy has now completed her 3rd round of chemotherapy. She is such a resilient little girl and has coped amazingly. We have received positive results that the tumour in Sammy's Liver is reducing! We have absolute no doubt the reason this little 2 1/2 year old has coped so well is due to your love and support and the that she has had both her parents Mum (Sarah) and Dad (Regan) by her side throughout giving her all there devoted love. Life stopped for this family. Regan stopped work, Sarah's daily routine ended, and as for Sammy, she no longer plays with all her special friends, no pre-school, no swimming lessons, no parks. But, I stress the family is stronger for sticking together side by side through the process. As for baby no.2, we can advise this wee boy is strong, healthy and doing all the right things. The time has also come that we are now all waiting on the arrival on a brother for Sammy, which is a very exciting focus for them.

THANK YOU to all of you, without your support this family could not have coped as they have.

  • Sammie progress May 23

      23 May 2016

    Hi All

Thanks to all for all your overwhelming support shown in so many ways. It is very much appreciated, and making a huge difference to enabling this family to stay together during Sammy's treatment and waiting for bubs no.2 to arrive.

Sammie has had her first run of chemotherapy treatment, hydration and blood transfusion.

She has coped well considering - a bit lethargic but doing well and communicative. Sammy is now recovering and will have her next round of chemotherapy in 2 weeks. xxx
