Our Samoan sister-in-law to return home to give Matai father an honorable farewell
Takaka, Tasman
Samoan Josephine Uhrle lives in Takaka and works at the FreshChoice supermarket. After work, her mum called to say that her father died. She was devastated. The last time Josephine saw her father was 3 years ago.
We call our family and friends, our local community of Golden Bay and our Pacific Community of NZ to support Josephine and her family to travel to Samoa to give Matai, Keneti Semi, from Palisi an honorable Maliu (funeral).
Josephine said:” I’d be very grateful for your help. My dad was a good man. He is a Matai and a lovely and caring person, everyone in the village loves him because of the way he treats and helps everyone. I cared for my dad and looked after him and his medical costs. I never thought it was time for him to go. A Maliu is very important for us. I’d like to give him the goodbye he deserves.”
Josephine has only a few days, until 6th September, to get our support. Any cent counts. Many many thanks for your help.
