After 31 years of operating the famous Santhiyas, lady boss, Yougeswari Subramaniam experienced a dramatic change of personal circumstances after she severely injured her neck as a result of a fall. Aunty is now paralysed and due to the challenging circumstances, Santhiyas restaurant is permanently closed. Aunty is well known for her jovial personality, amazing food and great hospitality. Aunty is currently in ICU at Middlemore Hospital.
We are setting this page so that we, as a community can help the family out financially during these challenging times. The funds will go directly to Aunty's bank account.

Update for Santhiya Aunty 8 February 2022
Hi everyone, this is an update that's been passed to us by Masillan (Aunty Youges's son).
Aunty Youges is doing OK.
She was moved to the ward last week and was in high spirits but setback with infection has caused her to go back to ICU. She is expect to recover however. Unfortunately her movements haven't improved below the shoulder.
Will update when we can.
