Help SAPA Set Up A Dance Studio
Help SAPA build a dance studio for more fun and learning. It will be located at Flip Out Christchurch and usable by the community.

Sparrow Academy of Performing Arts is a small business in Christchurch dedicated to instilling children with the skills and confidence to express themselves through performance. Singing and piano lessons are currently on offer from a small space at Flip Out, but the goal is to expand to offer classes in various forms of dance, theater, and other performance aspects. Flip Out has generously offered to donate the space needed for a dance studio, but funds are needed to set it up properly with mirrors, flooring, heating, etc. This will be a multipurpose studio space for private and community use. It will be a huge asset to SAPA and the community. Please help us make it happen.

My name is Hannah Snelling and I am the primary educator and program designer at SAPA. I believe that music and dance are an important part of life. Kids need positive ways to express themselves and performance art fits that need. Working from Flip Out allows the students to have active time before their lesson so they can be more focused and therefore get more enjoyment out of their lesson. My goal is to give all children opportunities to gain confidence and self expression through performance.
Use of funds
Funds will be used to purchase and install flooring, mirrors, heating and sound equipment, ballet barres, dance mats, and any additional items needed.
