I have been chosen to represent my country at the Regional Oceania Champs for 400m. I am in need of funding to get me there!
Auckland
I have been chosen to represent New Zealand at the Oceania Regional Championships in April this year! This is a self-funded trip, organised by Athletics New Zealand so I am currently looking for people to get along side me and help with the funding to get me there. It has been estimated to cost around $3000, but I will confirm this amount once I get the final cost from Athletics New Zealand. Last season I got second at the New Zealand Nationals in the Senior Women's 400m, and had the second fastest time over the whole season. I also anchored both the Auckland 4x400m and 4x100m relay teams for gold. I even got the opportunity to anchor the New Zealand 4x400m team in Sydney last summer. I am passionate about my running and having been working exceedingly hard over the past six years while studying full time at the University of Auckland. With two bachelors' degrees under my belt, I am currently studying towards my Honours in Theology and have just finished a summer research scholarship at the university. This means that to work to save money on top of full time training and study is compromised, but I'm hoping that with your help, it will not compromise my ability to partake in amazing opportunities, like representing my country at Oceania's.
