Purchase of Sara Brodie rehearsal painting by Felicity Priest
The Royal Wanganui Opera House would like to purchase this painting to ensure that it remains in Whanganui on public display.

Sara, Stage Director and recipient of the Arts Foundation Laureate Award in 2015, has been associated with the Royal Wanganui Opera House both with the NZ Opera School and directing ‘Peter Pan’ for the Friends of the Opera House and Amdram in 2008. She has said that she would be honoured for the Opera House to house the painting. It would be owned by the Friends of the Opera House Trust Inc.
Please help us raise $7000 to purchase the painting.
About us
The Friends aim is to preserve the Royal Wanganui Opera House as a full working theatre for the use and enjoyment of the community. Since 1989 they have worked with the Whanganui District Council and the Royal Wanganui Opera House Board to keep the theatre running, raising funds to upgrade facilities and purchase equipment. An army of volunteers helps with front of house and backstage work.
