help me save a NZ wild horse from slaughter!
Nelson / Tasman
Hi , I am Soley. I am a 15 year old homeschooled girl. I love music, creative writing - and horses.
This year's Kaimanawa muster is coming up. New Zealand wild horses are really special and I hate the thought of them going to slaughter. So mum and I have applied for the adoption of a 2-3 year old stallion. If my family's home is approved, and if I can raise enough money, I will go up to Northland and spend a month being mentored by Kelly Wilson to tame my new horse!
This is an awesome opportunity for me to save a life and learn some really valuable skills. I am already confident with horses, but this experience will take me to a new level and challenge my horsey skills as well as my patience and determination. There will be other young people there to connect to and I hope to come back with not only a new horse but also new connections, new skills and memories of a lifetime.

saving a Kaimanawa costs lots of money - especially when you live in the south island! the horse itself, transport to a handling place in the NI, gelding, dentist, potentially vet fees, worming, transport to the south island, my own travelling costs
