Need help to get my house back as the price keeps climbing at about the same rate I'm earning the money for it.
Huntly, Waikato
Hello, I am the Jimbo. I live in the most ghetto-a** motorhome you will ever lay your eyes upon.
A little over two weeks ago I was driving back to Huntly from New Plymouth and going up the Awakina Gorge on State Highway 3, when my house truck started to tip over (I either had a pallet break or a strap snapped) I had a choice between fighting it and eventually rolling down into the gorge, into the river then dying... or hauling the wheel as hard as I could to the left and tipping her into a field access... I chose the latter. When the cops turned up they slapped a pink sticker on my house and called the tow trucks, and since its a van on a truck they called two tow trucks. After the tow trucks hauled her out and, as I had no money to pay them, they decided to take them back to their yard, in New Plymouth... this generated a $2500 tow bill which I cannot pay for a few weeks... so they are holding on to my vehicles until I have paid them... they are also charging me 15 dollars a day each for storage of both my vehicles.
I have lived in the van for over a decade but being on the truck was recent. It was fantastic! I just looked like a tow truck and I had a unique motor home that was my bedroom for over ten years anyway but now it had mobility and freedom with it.
I have a full time job but at the rate the price is going up I think I need help to pay it quick while it is still "cheap". I don't know how much the truck will cost to fix. but planning for the worst case scenario is best
Tow fees and storage fee, repairs and certificate of fitness for my truck, repairs to van / to buy a box body for truck / to buy a new van... or maybe a boat
