A big Hi from Gus to all his followers. Gus is now 9 months old on his prescription diet and medication. Gus is on an antibiotic twice a day with food, seizure medication, 3 times a day, reflux medication every morning before his breakfast and laxative 4 times a day. Gus has all his pills in pill pockets and is really good about it. Gus is usually pretty good with his prescription food but is getting a bit bored with it. He’s such a puppy now, very cheeky and wonderful to see. I have had a meeting with the surgeon and he would like to do Gus’s surgery in October this year, when Gus is more mature and grown up. We have a few more months to fundraise for this special little Guy. Our family thank each and everyone of you for helping us save Gus. Could you please keep sharing and/or donating for Gus.

Keep it up team Gus. ❤️💕🐾

Hi all, Gus is doing well we are still fundraising to get his surgery so he’s still on medication and a prescribed diet for now, he’s had a few bad days recently, he kept throwing up and we couldn’t get him to eat, he’s okay at the moment he’s been having swims and then naps or playing with our other dog and then naps, the medication shows what he’s actually like the playful ness and so much more to come when he has this surgery he can be a real puppy not so tired all the time, anyways Gus says woof woof thank you all so much for donating and he appreciates u all. I’ll post another update soon and then we will do video updates after his surgery. He has an Instagram now it’s @save.gus

Hey all just wanna keep you updated with my pup, we’re doing as well as can be, he’s still on his medication which helps for now, I’m still in shock seeing him like that broke my heart. We’ve noticed from his iv his skin is turning black and I thought it would go away but his 2 front paws where both iv were is black and then his stomach is patchy like half black half the normal colour from the iv and catheter but I just think it’s strange I would of thought it would go back to normal anyways here’s a pic of Gus doing a boop for you

  • Gus’s update

Gus is doing better we’re still on the road to recovery he’s at home resting with us, on 5 different medications, this is a temporary fix for now, he’s definitely happier and you can see his full potential he plays a lot more but he does get a lot more exhausted as well, some days are better than others, some days he can’t walk, definitely not in the clear the surgeon said there will be times where he’s close to going back into critical condition so the surgery really needs to be done as soon as possible. We have to try keep him as stable as possible so his body is strong enough for the surgery. We noticed there’s still stitches healing and his lures have left his arms black from the irodine which is concerning to me, he’s on a special diet so with that it helps with the medication. There are side effects from the medication so his pee stinks a lot more but all in all we’re getting there, just need to get this surgery done and get on the road to a full recovery

We went to see Gus today, he’s doing better and on all his medication, he’s able to stand but still quite wombly, they had to put in a catheter for him to pee, he also had 2 lures and his stomach shaved for his scan, doing better but we have a long way to go, special foods and we need to get him stable enough to have the surgery
