Gus Tj Sutherland is a beautiful male golden retriever born on 8th July 2021.

Gus is in liver failure when he was in the womb his liver didn’t form properly, the vessels in his liver aren’t pumping blood through to circulate, so all toxins that go in can’t get out, which has now caused him to have seizures, he’s in and out of consciousness, he can’t hold himself up and he’s lost appetite, struggling to get fluids and in critical condition, without this surgery he won’t be able to survive, we’re doing everything we can to save him he’s family he’s our boy, any donations will help to cover the vet specialist bills we’re looking at 20k for the hospitalisation treatment and surgery

Gus will be having a liver corrective surgery putting in a shunt, this way his liver will be able to circulate blood and release toxins, when Gus was in the womb his liver didn’t form properly, now causing him to go into liver failure along with seizures his liver can’t function properly without the surgery, in Auckland we only have 2 vet specialists that do this surgery all together it will cost us $20,000
