Save North Canterbury Chicken Rescue from closing
We will need to shut the rescue and sell our home to cover legal costsCanterbury
Nearly a year to the day after myself and Larissa were on the news for our chicken rescue efforts in the greater Christchurch area we are facing having to shut down the rescue.
This is all because we are going to court.
With the costs reaching over $30,000 we are facing the sad facts that we will need to sell our property which means closing down the rescue, this leaves us with 100's of chickens needing to be rehomed and not being able to continue to do the great work we continue to do on a weekly basis and leaving chickens all over the greater Christchurch area without someone to take them on when they are unwanted or dumped.
We really hope it doesn't come to this but it is a high possibility as we personally are nearly out of funds from our own pocket to fight this.
