Support the Save Our Southern Hospital campaign and help us get Cliff the ambulance to the Beehive!
Otago
Help us fuel the Save Our Southern Hospital campaign!
With 350,000 people in the Otago and Southland region, the Southern Hospital services the largest region of any tertiary hospital in New Zealand. It has an extensive helicopter rescue service, and it's a teaching hospital that trains thousands of health professionals for all of New Zealand.
The Government is trying to save money by not building the hospital as promised, but it will be the people of the South who pay. We're asking the Government to build it once, build it right.
A decision on the future of the hospital is likely to be made by the end of the year, so we need to act now. Please donate and help us fuel Cliff the ambulance, who will be driving around Otago Southland and then up to Wellington.
All donations will go into a special Save Our Southern Hospital account ring-fenced especially for this campaign. Every donation will help Cliff get closer to the Beehive!
The money raised will go towards the ambulance hikoi, the (heavily discounted) billboards in Wellington, and other activity designed to help save our Southern Hospital.
Thanks for your support so far! 28 October 2024
Thank you so much for supporting the Save Our Southern Hospital campaign.
In the past week, Cliff the ambulance has visited Balclutha, Gore, Invercargill, the Otago Farmers Market, Portobello and more.
And next week... Cliff will begin the trip to Wellington! Cliff will arrive at The Beehive on 6 November to help present the nurses' petition to parliament.
