Basically I’m being charged with “owning a dog that assaulted someone” and the court date for it comes before his appeal. Meaning we might not even get the the appeal if I get found guilty they’ll order and immediate “destruction” of Rosko 😭 I need $20,000

I got photos of Rosko today and he’s got a wound on his leg. Safe to say I spent the rest of the day bawling my eyes out. They assured he’s being monitored but they’re left alone at night so he’s not allowed a cone and he keeps licking it so it’s just getting worse 😭 I need my boy home more than ever
Don’t just take my word for it that he’s a lover not a fighter, as well as so sweet and gentle. He really is my whole world. I’m sick at the moment with the flu (working in Early childcare I’ve been lucky to go this long before catching cooties) anyway; I realized for the last 7 years, I’ve looked forward to being sick at home because even though I feel crap it meant cuddles with Rosko all day, he would be my carer and not even hassle me (too much) for a walk when he knew I wasn’t well. He’s so perceptive and loyal almost to a fault it seems. I’m missing him extra EXTRA today while I’m sick and vulnerable. Can eyes fall out of your face from crying too much? I’ll keep you posted.

This a letter I sent Sam recently after speaking to him on the phone recently. He has assured me he doesn’t want Rosko put down but also is washing his hands of the matter 😭
More bad news, more fees. Need my dog home and this nightmare to end but I can no longer afford it 😞
I wanted to share where things are at. The upcoming court date on the 19th isn’t even to decide whether Rosko can be released. I’ve been informed it’s simply to set another date, which is soul crushing when every day he’s away from us feels unbearable.
In the meantime, I’m seeking another lawyer. I think I’ve found someone more affordable who also has a dog themselves, in the hope they’ll have their heart in this fight and be even more invested in bringing Rosko home.
