Help Colac Bay Save Its Surfer Statue
Riverton, Southland
Colac Bay is a small settlement on the Southern Coast of the South Island, New Zealand that boasts over 29 surf breaks within a three hour drive. It is the home of New Zealand's only iconic surfer statue which took two years and $41,000 to erect over 25 years ago. Unfortunately, after many years of increasingly extensive and expensive maintenance the statue is no longer suitable for repair. It will be demolished and gone forever unless we are able to raise the funds to replace it with another Surfer statue. One that is more durable, made with materials giving it a minimum 30 year lifespan.
Please donate today to help us Save our Surfer.
Funds raised will be spent on constructing and installing the new surfer statue.
