Save Bruce and Panda!

3 years ago I was given Bruce and Panda as pet calves. Nothing else was said. Now the farm where I work has come knocking, claiming that the animals that I've looked after for years belong to them and they'd like to cash in and send them to the butcher. I was devastated - these two animals are cuddly pets who love attention. Nearly every evening I'm outside with them, sitting with them, feeding them apples, or just standing with Bruce resting his head against my leg. I fought back, and was given the option to buy them at the price they would get at the works for them - roughly $1200-$1400 per animal.

At first I was excited that I was given the option to keep them, then realized there was no way I could afford to throw down $2800 for my beloved animals. The other part that was hard to swallow was that they must move off farm. Any money raised beyond the cost of the animals will go to trucking them to their new home and organising short term feed, as well as donations to whoever homes them next. I'm currently working on finding their forever home, ideally a petting zoo type scenario where they can live out their lives in the company of humans that will love and appreciate them like I have.

I'm hoping to cover their costs with this fundraiser, but any little bit helps me afford their future.
