My childhood friend Patricia Waipouri has been recently diagnosed with Invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer currently estimated at stage III . Trish was diagnosed when she was 34 weeks pregnant with her second child 4 days before her 33rd birthday, who is now a thriving young new born.
She has researched extensively and believes that the only way she will overcome this disease is if she undergoes specialist treatments which comprises of Intravenous vitamin C and supplement therapy both which encourage and support the immune system to not only fight against the disease but also to repair the body. Unfortunately these treatments are non government funded and the financial stress is overwhelming. Patricia her loving partner and two boys live in a remote rural area in the Hokianga New Zealand, travel to the nearest hospital is approximately 55kms away, travel to major cities for specialist appointments etc is always over 100kms from her home. Vitamin C therapy ranges between $150-$300 per session and supplements are pricing at anywhere up to $100 per week. Her family and friends are rallying together to support her during this time and although she is trying her best I suggested that we create this give a little page to help her through this journey.
Patricia is a beautiful vibrant woman, loving partner, mother and friend. We are all shocked and overwhelmed this is happening however are optimistic and eager to stand by Patricias side as she fights this battle.
We are grateful and appreciate any donations we receive and woud like to humbly thankyou in advance.
