Hi good friends! Mumma Rachel here... I wanted to get down to the nitty gritty details about our Mr Stray <3 We've had him 10 days now and he's doing much better than before, but we still have a long way to go!
The donation money doesn't come through for another month because of the site rules so atm we're cruising through with him, helping him little by little. The main concern I have is obviously his health. He could have a range of diseases since he still has his manhood. FIV, Herpes and a very serious respiratory illness is on the table for a start heart emoticon I've looked into all these things and they are all highly contagious - especially herpes and the respiratory disease if he has them - if he does have it, this means he cannot be around our Skye & Charlie. With FIV if he bites them deep he will pass it along - with herpes if he sneezes or they share food bowls he can pass it along :( Unfortunately Mr Stray has a very high chance of having these problems as whoever raised him did not look after him.
Until we have a diagnosis of absolutely everything - when the donation money comes through - he's in quarantine in our bedroom until our flatmate moves out then he will be in the spare room <3 We're keeping him well away from Skye and Charlie as they're still our main priority. I am not getting ahead of myself but I'm unsure if Mr Stray will ever be OK and mold into the family with Skye and Char, he does not get along with any cats and he is very very strong & a little aggressive! He's got me a few times with his swipe, and I've come to find he has been abused. I moved my hand up a little too fast to pat him this morning and he cowered away and hid back in the wardrobe :( Our poor little guy!
Just so you all know our main concern aside from getting him better is our babies Skye and Char. It will be up to Mr Stray whether he wants to fit in here or not - if he doesn't I hate to say or think it but we may have to put him down as I refuse to put him back out in the wild to keep fighting cats and spreading disease :'( Re-homing may be an option, but if his aggressiveness does not stop after he's desexed, re-homing won't be an option.
So we are taking it day by day and being extra careful not to spread his possible diseases around and we'll see how we go <3 Love ya lots friends xox Thanks for reading my novel lmao and thanks so much for your support
