Pippys Vet Cost

Today my British bulldog was rushed to the vets to have major surgery due to having "Pyometra".

Pyometra is a disease some middle aged dogs get if they are not spayed, its a hormonal abnormality that causes a massive infection in the uterus.

We did not know about this disease until a few months ago when her sister, my mothers dog comit passed away from it as it was not discovered fast enough to save her life.

Pippy had blood work done only 2 weeks ago before the underwent surgery to remove 10 teeth and she was in perfect health, so today has come as a massive surprise to us and the vets.

The cost of this surgery is estimated to be $1000 and due to having 10 teeth removed only two week ago costing us $880 (I've only managed to pay $380 of that bill back) i can not come up with that amount of money.

I've had Pippy since she was 3 week old due to her mother having 12 puppies and not been able to cope, she was born 14/01/2010, yes she is old and i have been told "its cheaper to put her down" but shes my baby and i will do everything i can to keep her alive, happy and healthy.

Normally we are not in this position so ill put more info up about what has happened in the past month to show you why we honestly can not afford to pay this and why we are asking for help.

Two weeks ago Pippy went in for surgery to have 10 teeth removed, this was out of the blue, she was eating fine one day the next she couldnt eat, we discovered with xrays she had 6 teeth under her gums that had not come down that were rotting inside the gums, along with 4 other teeth that were infected that needed to remove that cost us $880 that we are despratly trying to pay back.

That same day Bronx needed eye surgery costing is $660 without that surgery it would have caused ulcers to form on his eye balls (Would have gone blind with out the surgery) ! AND THEN a week later Lexi needed the same surgery on her eyes costing us yet another $600!

As you can see, we do look after our animals and all of this happening in the past month has taken all of our savings we had worked hard to saving for them.

Surgery cost is $838 - I'm emailing to have the needed amount reduced :)
