  • AWESOME SCAN RESULTS!

    AWESOME NEWS! Sally had a CT scan on the 5th of September. After 3 treatments of brentuximab the scan has shown that the tumors has decreased in size! This tumor reduction has given Sally hope and showing that brentuximab is working and doing its job! Sally is currently feeling good as there is now no pressure against her chest making breathing much easier. We are all very very happy with the result and hope that she is able to continue with these treatments! Thank you to everyone who has donated and giving Sally hope again! We will continue to fundraise and help Sally to hopefully receive all 16 treatments!!!

    Approach your bosses!!! This will benefit them and help out a person in need. Journey of Hope is a registered charity which helps out people (like Sally) who are unable to pay for medical treatment. This is the only charity in New Zealand that help out with medical treatments! They have kindly decided to sponsor Sally and help her out! Most corporations and businesses will only make donations to a registered charity. so Journey of Hope is happy to accept donations from businesses and provide a tax receipt and tax credit for the companies. 100% of the donation on the givealittle site below will go towards helping Sally fund this treatment.     Had an AWESOME day fundraising at Botany Town Centre on 24 of August. Thank you Botany Town Centre for helping me with my cause. I met a lot of lovely people and is very grateful to everyone who made a donation. Thank you to those who came by to meet me and to share their story with me. We did raise $1120.30!! so that is Amazing!! Thank you again to everyone and to all my friends who came by and help me out!! xoxoxo

    Hey guys!! I did not realised that I can actually post updates on give a little! So here is my first update: To start I would love to thank everyone who has donated so far both offline and on give a little. I have started my first treatment of the brentuximab about 3 weeks ago. I had to use the money I have raised along with some money borrowed to start the treatment before it was too late. I originally thought I should wait till I have more than half of the money before starting. However due to the growth of tumours on other places, I was advised to start as soon as possible. To at-least get some exposure to the drug. Since starting Brent 3 weeks ago, I've been feeing good and can feel some improvement of the side effects that was caused by the cancer. I had an X-ray that showed an awesome improvement on my right lower lung!
