Hi Andrew. I had a similar experience 4 years ago thankfully my dog survived thanks to the amazing vets. The council prosecuted the owner of the dog and they had to pay the vet bills for my dog. Have you been down this path? Did you report the incident to animal management immediately so they could locate the attacking dog and impound it?

Hi Andrew. Are you able to update of where this happened - there are a lot of worried owners out there. Also what Vet is Luna at please? A lot of people want to donate directly to the Vet. Perhaps post up vet bills as well. I hope Luna has a speedy recovery xx

Hi Christine....vet is Animal Referral Centre - but I had to take out a personal loan and pay current bill in full so I could bring her home. If she requires further surgery (skin breaking down in necrosed areas, etc) then there is still over $2k loan still in reserve. I am hoping to pay the loan back as I am already financially stretched even before the repayments (which start next week). There was no option at the vet for paying it off.
