Saving Wings highlights the hard work of volunteers saving Auckland's butterfly populations.
Auckland
Spearheaded by director Zoe Hallett, and produced by Max Farr, "Saving Wings" is a film which highlights the amazing work volunteers around Auckland are doing to protect our native butterfly and moth populations.
This film is our final project for our Screen Production major at AUT, and we're aided by a talented group of our peers, who we've worked with throughout our degree.
We'll be speaking with a range of volunteers, who are all working to achieve the same goal. They are driven by their own passion for saving these populations, and the feel-good factor of the work we do. This film explores themes of conservation, education, and the importance of community.
The film also highlights small ways that viewers can become involved in this work, and how climate change is drastically affecting the breeding cycle of these beloved insects. "Saving Wings" not only highlights the work these people are doing, without credit, but also aims to remind viewers that their small actions can make a big difference within a community.
To get this project off the ground, we need your support! Help it reach its full potential.
Anyone who donates will get a mini-poster, any donation over $50 will be given a credit in the film.
Thank you so much for your support!
Your donations will go towards making the project a reality; to help us feed our crew, fuel our trips within Auckland, and give a token of appreciation to our participants who are giving up their time to share their stories.
