Saving Possum

$40 of $2,500 goal
Given by 3 generous donors in 6 weeks

Ongoing costs of intensive care for Possum and later reconstructive surgery and after care.

Bay of Plenty

Possum was run over last month in Rotorua. She is my daughters dearly loved cat. With a baby in the house I offered to continue to care for Possum. Between us, we have spent $1000 to date, but Possum needs more treatment as she is in quite a bad way. The lacerations to her abdomen and legs became septic. Thus far I have managed to get the infection almost gone. She needs ongoing pain relief, antiseptics and disposable items for this to continue. Reconstructive surgery will be required later and aftercare. I will do as much as I can at home, but vet costs are still inevitable. We just do not have the money or the means to book up finance, hence appeal for help.

I wished I had more to donate right now but I guess $10.00 is a start. I know what it is like having to pay heaps for cats but luckily my vet is caring and let me pay it off as I am only a beneficiary. I have 9 of them and are like children to me. Hopefully later on I may be able to donate more to Possum's treatment. Anything for cats! Get well Possum :-)
