I picked up Nymi's ashes on monday. It was harder than I expected, and I have been too depressed to write this update until now.
But, some good news! I completely misunderstood the vet (was not exactly in a great state of mind), and getting the ashes was covered in the last bill. This means that we didn't have to dip into the money budgeted for other things to cover it. Which is good, because cooking and eating has been hard and there've been a lot of takeaways.
So, our immediate needs are covered (rent, bills, groceries). Housing situation is still garbage of course, but it's looking a lot less hopeless. Thank you to everyone who has donated or shared ♥
