School Trip to Japan Fundraiser

"Hi! My name is Poppy! I’m a year 12 student attending NCG (Nelson College for Girls) fundraising for a two week program to Japan for 2026. We will go to many places, and do lots of amazing things, like part of the accommodation will be a homestay, we will take the Shinkansen around, try the delicious food, go to Disneyland and Universal Studios and more! I am fundraising because I need some extra help with raising money, and it is school sponsored so it is quite expensive. I would so so love to go, as I plan to go to university in Japan in the future, and my best friend who stayed in NZ for a year is Japanese, and I miss her so much ever since she went back. Japanese culture is so beautiful and I’ve always been interested in it, so this is something I’m looking forward to so much! I’m also studying and learning Japanese, both at home and as a school subject! I’m currently looking for a job too (though there’s not very much available for a 15 year old) and fundraising in any other ways that I can.
