Support for the Scully Family

Saturday 30 July, the Scully family's lives forever changed.

Tanya was feeling great, dropped her daughter Brooke to a dance workshop. Youngest, Kendra to work & watched her son Ethan play football. Tanya got home about 5pm & had sudden onset of extreme abdominal pain.

She was rushed to hospital where it was quickly discovered that her bowel had ruptured because of a 16cm tumour. Emergency surgery was performed to save her life. She then spent the next 3 days in ICU, followed by 2 weeks of complications & building strength for recovery.

It has been confirmed that Tanya's cancer tumour is a 1 in 200 million chance - unheard of! No screening or bloods would have ever picked it up, she had no symptoms. It has spread, is very aggressive, stage 4 & incurable. Absolute shock and devastation for her family & anyone who knows and loves Tanya!

Tanya is now in Auckland hospital to begin an extremely intense chemotherapy regime, to give her more time with her family.

Tanya is such a loving, giving, hardworking person. A proud wife & mum with the biggest heart. She has touched so many lives, in many ways. Tanya, and the Scully family, are always there whenever someone needs it, and now it's our chance to be there for them.
