Jhufel/Boyet is now back to Dunedin Hospital from Christchurch Hospital where he spent 25 days for a problem with the shunt that was put in his head. He is once again back to Dunedin Hospital for further treatment. Please continue to pray for him. Thank you.
Jhufel had his shunt yesterday that will help on managing the excess fluid in his head. Hopefully, no more complications and he will be able to start rehabilitation. Jhufel's bill already reached to $580,000.00 as of April 28, and so we ask for your financial support as well as your prayers for his full recovery.

Jhufel was transferred to Dunedin Hospital on the 25th of February for further treatment, and eventually for his rehabilitation at one of the rehabilitation centers in Dunedin. Jhufel had to undergo more medical procedures while in Dunedin Hospital. Most recently, on March 31, a ventriculoperitoneal shunt (a narrow tube that allows excess cerebrospinal fluid to drain to his belly) was attached to his head. Unfortunately, the shunt got infected, and has to be taken out. He had few seizures from this infection. Jhufel was brought to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment of his infection and he stays there until the doctors could put back the shunt.
One cannot possibly imagine what Jhufel went through during his stay in the hospital, but he continues to fight for his life. Please continue to pray for him and support the fundraiser for his cause. Thank you, and may God bless you all!
I would like to start by saying thank you to all who donated here and who left some notes of comfort. Your thoughts, kind words, prayers, and financial support mean so much. May God reward you for the good that you do.
Jhufel/Boyet is continuously treated with some internal infections as his vitals are still trying to stabilize. He is now able to fully open his eyes, shows sensations with his hands when gripped, and makes initial responses when asked to flick his eyes or show his tongue. He even demonstrates a SMILE. Slow body movements are initiated by bringing him to sit up. He was moved to a room with windows to see the light and view outside.

Jhufel is still in the ICU, doctors said he would probably stay there for weeks. 100,000 is only estimated for his surgery & 7 days ICU.

Jhufel has been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for six days now. He is still on an induced coma for his brain to rest. The hospital has reduced the sedation medication, and might take it out these coming days, depends on his vital signs. He might stay in the ICU for a while and so the funds needed goes up to more than $100k.
