Sending Kadin to Canoe Slalom Junior World Champions in Slovakia

My name is Kadin Nogaj and I first discovered canoe slalom paddling at 11 years old competing at the 2018 AIMS Games for my school. At the time I was competing at a top level in football and athletics as well as national level triathlons, but never felt the ‘passion’. Once I got my first taste of whitewater and the technical challenge involved, I was hooked. All other sports were dropped - much to my parent’s shock. I worked part-time to help with buying gear as every year the financial strain of the sport put pressure on my family. I went on to take out the Top Overall Paddler in New Zealand Secondary Schools Slalom competitions for my age group for U14, U16 (2years) and this year U18 as well as place in nationals each year. I’m excited to have reached phase one of my goal - selection for the U18 NZ Team for The 2024 Junior Worlds in Slovakia.

The event I need assistance for is the 2024 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships in Slovakia. The competition is held from the 2nd to the 7th of July 2024. This competition is bigger and more prestigious than the Junior Olympics and only the top athletes from each country get invited to compete.
