Service Dog Gus is needing more than a few treats, he needs specialist help

Gus is my 11 year old Mobility Dog, last year he was diagnosed with leukemia (CLL), and then cushings which are both well managed.

Last week Gus regurgitated up a blood clot, for the past week he’s been on carafate, omeprazole, pain relief and nausea medication for a suspected upper GI ulcer. However yesterday (5 days later) he bought up another clot. His vet has now referred him to a specialist in Auckland for a more thorough work up, overseeing his other health conditions and doing an endoscopy.

Gus is insured with PetCover however we have to cover 35% of his costs due to his age as part of the policy.

Gus has been there for me through some of the hardest times of my life, he’s given me back my independence which has enabled me to be able to live alone. He’s given nothing but love, loyalty and dedication, and he deserves the same back.

I really appreciate all the help and support I can get, without your help I will struggle to cover these costs.
