💙 Our Boy Needs a New Heart — and We Need Your Help

At just 18, our son should be dreaming about his future — not waiting for the call that will save his life. A heart transplant is his only chance, and while we wait, we’re doing everything we can to be ready. But we can’t do it alone.

Right now, we’re in a waiting period, as the transplant team has advised us to hold on until the time is right. This means regular hospital visits, ongoing treatment, and being prepared at a moment’s notice for when that life-changing call comes.

We’re incredibly grateful for the care he’s receiving, but not all costs are publicly funded. We’re facing unexpected expenses — from travel, accommodation near the hospital, food, and taxis, to caring for our family dog while we’re away for four weeks in Auckland. Even ferry fares and petrol quickly add up.
