Help Sharee with her IVF journey-Spain Alicante

$815 of $12,000 goal
Given by 12 generous donors in over a year

I have followed the journey of Sharee through her fb blog. She needs $12000 for her 2nd attempt for IVF in Spain.

Auckland

I have followed the journey of Sharee through her fb blog.

We have walked alongside her as she shared her excitement, hope, joy, tears, fears, laughter and disappointments.

She has worked long hours, saved hard for nearly five years preparing for the day she brings home her baby.

Though her first attempt at Donor IVF did not succeed... I do not believe this is the end of her journey but unfortunately, despite having more attempts available, Sharee is currently starting the saving again from scratch after already spending at least $50,000 over the past five years.

Sharee needs to pay for the trip, accommodation, IVF transfer and meds... this all adds up to $12000 NZD.

To reach her goal of having her next attempt in the next 6-8 months she will save up as much as she possibly can - but I thought it would be great to come together as a community and support this amazing, strong, determined lady in her dream of having a baby.

This is from her blog on her fb page.

"This is my personal blog of my Journey to mother hood - donor IVF in Spain with the help of Fertility Associates Ellerslie Auckland. I will include information from both clinics Fertility Associates Auckland and IVF-Spain Alicante. This blog is my personal views and experience only - not of the clinics mentioned in my blog.

I'm a single New Zealand Female doing everything to fulfill my dream of becoming a mum. I will be travelling to Spain in the next few months for my first attempt at IVF donor transfer.

In 2014 in my mid 30's after putting my career and owning a house before having a family, that and not having found my Mr Right I decided that it was now or never!

That's when in 2014 I meet the wonderful team at Fertility Associates in Auckland. My doctor Mary Birdsall one of the founders is extremely knowledgable, warm and caring. Softly spoken with a smile that helps set your nerves at ease, Mary spent time explaining my options and completing tests before we talked about doing Donor IUI. Each doctor has a team of nurses who are available to answer all your questions (in my case many!) either face to face, over the phone or via email. I deal a lot with nurse Rebecca and she has been absoultly lovely and supportive. No question left un answered no matter how awkward and those that know me Well know I can be extremely random at times 😂

I found Fertility Associates staff to be very understanding, caring and client focused. The clinics are open Monday - Sunday and clinics are based through out New Zealand. Most importantly they are more than willing to support overseas treatments where others won't 💜

2015 After several failed attempts of IUI (my chances were low from the start due to low AMH levels) I decided that IVF was the next step, but found I was emotionally drained and needed a break. Being single I'm not funded so I decided to use this time to save save save!

2017 Early this year I decided I was ready to try again but unfortunately my AMH was lower and majority of my eggs are no longer viable. I investigated donor embryo's but unfortunately their is a shortage of both male and female donors in NZ and the waiting list could be 3-5 years.

That's when I was told about donor IVF in Spain. The clinic IVF-Spain in Alicante has high success rates, is modern and one of the top three in Europe. I spent the next six weeks investigating four clinics. I got my list down to two that were very customer centred and happy to answer my million and one questions.

In the end IVF-Spain Alicante was my favourite. They have an amazing patient care team who are more than happy to answer your concerns/questions via email and pretty much hold your hand thru the entire process.

All the best - NZ mum on a mission 💛"

Monique Pearce's involvement (page creator)

I'm involved because I believe that we should go for our dreams - I have seen the dedication of this lady to meet her dreams - the long hours of working, saving, preparing for such a time that she brings home her baby - And I want to be involved and contribute so that she can get her dream.

Afterall - it takes a community to raise a child - and in this case.... have a child!!!!
