Sharlane's road to recovery
Christchurch, Canterbury
On 21st April 2022 Shar got out of bed with a headache, in the blink of an eye her life changed. Thanks to Hunter, Shar's Son who rang 111 which saved her life also St John Ambulance & Rescue Helicopter who flew Shar to Christchurch Hospital. We really appreciate those medical services.
Shar was in intensive care until they got her blood pressure under control. Many thanks to the staff & doctors at Christchurch Hospital for all they did.
Sharlane suffered a brain bleed.
The bleed & stroke has significantly affected the right side of her body, which is so exhausting for her at the moment, for Sharlane & her family its taking it one day at a time. On the 5th May Shar was transferred to Burwood Hospital in Christchurch for a long rehabilitation recovery, a big step forward for Shar, we are sure with time Sharlane will recover. The help you give will be used for setting up a home in Christchurch to be closer to her daughter, so she can help alongside with her rehabilitation.
Due to Sharlane's high blood pressure she was unable to receive life/trauma or income cover & is completely reliant on Work for Income. We thank you for you generosity & we wish Sharlane all the best with her recovery.
Sharlane is my cousin
Any medical bills associated with Sharlane's recovery & also to help her to move closer to her Whanau once she is able to leave hospital as it will be a long recovery.
