Support Sharlene, a beloved hairdresser who brought joy and care to our community, as she faces advanced oesophageal cancer.
Pakuranga, Auckland
Sharlene has given so much of herself to others. As a much-loved hairdresser at Mercy Parklands and St Andrew’s Village, she brought warmth, kindness, and dignity to residents, families, and staff alike. She is now facing advanced oesophageal cancer after a challenging and complex journey to diagnosis. Her health has declined rapidly, and she is dealing with significant pain, breathlessness, and difficulty swallowing. This page is about giving back to someone who has spent years caring for and uplifting our elders, with compassion at the heart of everything she did.
Inicio puts humanity first, redefining elder care as human care — grounded in dignity, compassion, and connection. Inicio is committed to humanising healthcare and honouring those who have given so much to our elders.
The funds raised will help cover Sharlene’s urgent medical care, treatments, and daily living needs as she navigates the challenges of advanced oesophageal cancer.
