Show your support for Doctor Rebecca Starr, a GP at the Beachlands Medical Centre, as she shaves her head for cancer.
All donations will go to the Cancer Society (New Zealand's largest private funder of cancer research) and Totara Hospice, which has been meeting palliative care needs of the Pohutukawa Coast community now for 32 years.
Thanks to donations like yours, the Hospice is able to provide free of charge care and support for families/ whanau of any person living with a life limiting illness in our community.
Most of their work is based in the home. They are an organisation of inspiring people who provide amazing support to many families across the Pohutukawa Coast. They have touched many people's lives, and each time provided comfort to people when they need it the most.

Over the last few years I have had the privilege of caring for a number of patients in palliative care, working closely Totara Hospice staff to ensure each person receives the care they need, staying as close to their loved ones as possible.
Use of funds
All donations will be given to the Cancer Society (New Zealand's largest private funder of cancer research) and Totara Hospice who totally rely on fundraising to continue providing excellent care in the hospice and around our community.
