Shaz is shaving her head in solidarity with her Mum – in support of Women’s Refuge

Those of us who were lucky enough to have great Mums will understand that Mums like mine deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated. Mum has lost her hair as a result of the chemotherapy she has been receiving this year. She is rocking a gorgeous wig with style :-)

In solidarity with her, I am having my head shaved in early-mid January 2018 – Mum gets first run though with the clippers. I have had long, thick hair for over 20 years (since I last had it short), so it’s going to be quite a change!

If you feel drawn to donate, I would greatly appreciate it. All funds will be given to Women’s Refuge. Women and Mums who end up being helped by this amazing organisation have incredible courage, just like my Mum. In the case of Women’s Refuge clients, they are building better lives for themselves and their children. I am so grateful that Mum, myself and my siblings always felt safe in our home – and that we always felt completely wanted and supported – not all people are as lucky as we were.
