Fundraising for Waipu Cove Surf Life Saving Club's new Shower Block rebuild.
Northland
Our current shower block was built in 1966. It is a single cubicle with 3 shower heads, shared by male and female - including our junior surf children, lifeguards, competitors, senior members all often needing to shower at the same time. With current Health and Safety rules, we need separate shower / changing area for male and female urgently. We have been given a grant from Transpower for $25000 but we need a further $35000 for the project.
You can buy a tile for $100 and your name will appear on a plaque in the new shower area forever imprinted in the clubs history. Or you can choose any amount - it all helps!
Waipu Cove Surf Life Saving Club patrols Waipu Cove and surrounding beaches over the summer months. We offer a 24 hour emergency call out service. Fundraising to rebuild our single cubicle shower block that was built in 1966 to two separate shower areas.
Building, plumbing, tiling of new separate male / female shower / changing area for Lifeguards and Members of WCSLSC. Any surplus funds will be used for maintenance of emergency Surf Life Saving equipment.
