Raising money for 3 Bay of Islands families who have all been going through Cancer Treatment this year.
Paihia, Northland
This one’s for our people.
On Friday 26 September, we’re hosting Outfit North’s FIRST EVER Charity Quiz Night, and trust us, you do not want to miss it.
It’s about community. It’s about connection. And it’s about standing up for three local families who are facing the unimaginable.
Here’s who we’re supporting:
Riki Kinard & Jayne Shirley (The Duke of Marlborough)
Riki recently underwent treatment for HPV throat and tongue cancer. He and his whānau have done so much for this community, and in a truly selfless act, they’ve chosen to donate their share of funds raised to Rugby for Life Foundation. That’s just who they are.
Ruby & Taylor Smith
Ruby has been courageously fighting ovarian cancer for the past two years. She travelled to Japan earlier this year for treatment with high hopes, but sadly, the cancer has returned. Her journey continues, and we’re walking alongside her.
Janine & Derek Grant
Janine has been undergoing breast cancer treatment since December 2024. With a young family, this has been an incredibly tough time. But her strength and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.
None of these families have asked for help. In fact, they feel a little shy about receiving this support. But we’re doing it anyway because that’s what community does.

All money raised will be evenly split between the 3 families - no red tape - just direct support.
