Fundraising to support a mother who lost her boy too soon.
International
On the 11th of October 2016 Siarn Thompson committed suicide at the young age of 19. Siarn was a son to Ceri, a brother, a nephew, a grandson, and a best friend to many. Siarn felt there was no way out.. Suffering from depression and extreme anxiety, Siarn hid his inner demons just like so many other New Zealanders and eventually they got the better of him.
We have created this page to raise funds to support Siarn’s mum financially in regards to his unveiling and the costs related. Our main focus is to help/completely pay for Siarn’s headstone. The headstone alone is $8000, this a huge amount of money that no one expected to have to pay. We need to do everything we can to show our support to Ceri and her family.
Siarn loved wake boarding and was bloody good at it, the first time we went out on the boat he could barely stand up. Day after day after day he was at the Taupo wake park practicing (keeping this a secret from us) we went out again. Safe to say our jaws hit the ground, he was nailing back flips and all. Siarn was determined and driven and this show's just that.
Siarn was a car enthusiast, a skater and most of all a music lover. He was a pro on the guitar and would listen to a song and teach himself how to play it; nailing it every time. He really had a musical gift and him leaving us was such a huge loss to us all.
As friends of Siarn it is our responsibility to help as much as we possibly can with everything we can. But we also need your help. Any donation made will make a huge difference and will help us give Siarn what he deserves.
Any extra funds made will be donated to Lifeline New Zealand.
We are friends of Siarn and will be donating the money to his mum Ceri.
